Transcription 1. Mother and Child, 1921 by Pablo Picasso. Executed in paper collage. This work is my response to a former partner, who cleared out my studio, taking all my paints, brushes, canvas and papers, leaving me without finances to replace what was taken. During this period in time, I was given old magazines and cartons of pantry supplies. My creative urge replaced my dismay, the cardboard box replaced the canvas and the pages of the magazines replaced my paints.
